were called around 10:46 p.m. to the scene regarding a reported domestic assault in progress, an affidavit showed. The victim said the incident had been happening since around 5 p.m. She told police that Rory Oatman, 33, slapped her five times in the head before pulling her off a bed by her hair and dragging her into another room, where he then struck her on the butt.In the bedroom, the police saw a spot where the drywall was broken, where she claimed Oatman shoved her into the wall. As the incident continued, Oatman reportedly told her, "I'm going to ******* kill you tonight," according to the affidavit. When she tried to get away, she told the police that Oatman grabbed her while holding a butcher knife and said: "I'm going to kill you, I'm not done yet, I can go all night." She told the police he would take her "to Middle Creek," which is a large wooded area near the home, where he was going to bury her, and no one would find her body.The last time he strangled her, she claimed she couldn't breathe and was getting light-headed.
