The Met Office has also issued a new amber warning for parts of northern England, the Midlands and Wales as Storm Babet sparks chaos in the UK. Commuters who are braving the storm have been pictured struggling to deal with the conditions as their umbrellas are turned inside out amid the gale-force winds.
