BUTTERWORTH: There are sufficient chicken eggs in Penang for this Chinese New Year, with full supply expected to resume soon, says Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry’s state director S. Jegan.
“Only some sundry shops are experiencing disruptions in deliveries.
Under the ministry’s maximum price scheme implementation for Chinese New Year, Jegan said the 15-day enforcement period from Jan 15 to 29 will see eight items gazetted. Jegan added that 122 enforcement officers and 66 monitoring officers had been tasked with enforcing the ruling at strategic locations in Penang, such as markets and supermarkets.
