Enormous mile-wide asteroid to zip past the Earth this week, NASA warns 🌠

A HUGE space rock three times larger than the Empire State Building will hurtle past Earth today.

For scale, the Empire State Building is around 443 metres high, while the clock tower housing Big Ben stretches 96 metres into the air. Our planet hasn't seen an asteroid of apocalyptic scale since the space rock that wiped out the dinosaurs 66million years ago.One a few hundred metres across devastated 800 square miles of forest near Tunguska in Siberia on June 30, 1908.

"Nasa knows of no asteroid or comet currently on a collision course with Earth, so the probability of a major collision is quite small," Nasa says.
