The young teenager was swept away and drowned in a river in January during a school orientation trip.
A forensic report into the death of Enock Mpianzi has found negligence and liablity on the part of Parktown Boys’ High School and the venue where he drowned in a river during a Grade 8 camp in January.
Enock, 13, was swept away in the Crocodile River while attending a Grade 8 orientation camp at Nyati Bush and River Break Lodge, near Brits in North West, on 15 January 2020. He was last seen when a makeshift raft he and other boys were on overturned just hours after arriving at the camp. The Nyati Bush and River Lodge may also be held liable for not taking steps to mitigate dangerous and reckless conditions.
