Map reveals England’s coronavirus hotspots – with 8 out 10 worst-hit areas in North
ENGLAND’s coronavirus regional divide has been revealed as eight out of the ten worst hit areas are in northern towns and cities.
Experts at King’s College London said the number of cases in the South has stayed the same, but in the North they have increased.to become the UK’s Covid hotspot after cases doubled in a week.Data from the app shows that 0.40 per cent of the population has symptomatic Covid-19, this is up from last week and data from the app claims that 1,016 people in the region used the app to track their symptoms.
Moving to West Yorkshire and Kirklees has had an increase of cases with 0.21 per cent of people in the area being symptomatic of the 5,239 on the app.The seaside town of Blackpool has 0.20 per cent of the population with symptoms of 1,053 people on the app.Neath Port Talbot in Wales has 0.18 per cent of 2,366 on the app, while Sandwell in the West Midlands has 0.18 per cent of 1,407.
