Chicago-based climate software fund Energize Capital just raised $300 million in growth funds.We got a peek inside the 11-slide LP deck it used to raise the fresh funds.
The fresh funds, which come with a name change to represent the maturing market, will be used to back climate software startups at the Series C stage and onwards, with checks worth up to $50 million. It brings Energize's total assets under management to $1.2 billion. "You have a tonne of seed stage funds now but you couldn't have had a growth fund until now, there weren't enough companies to scale where you could have a full fund dedicated to it."
