Lydia Dingle's harrowing storyline will also air next week
Horrifying storylines are set to be aired in Emmerdale next week as Tom King is attacked and Caleb Miligan's fate is revealed, as he calls a truce with his brother Cain Dingle.
Tom King returned earlier this year and immediately made a beeline for Belle Dingle, however this week he is attacked whilst considering leaving the village next week. The pair had previously dated and quickly, things got back on track for them as they navigated their new relationship and Tom tried to rebuild his relationship with his family.
As he prepares to leave, Tom is attacked by a yob, who tells him to hand over his car keys. When he refuses, a second person hits him on the head before they kick him and steal is car. A horrified Belle later finds him and calls the police. When Nate realises a bag of guns has gone missing, he is forced to tell Caleb about the illegal dealings. As a fuming Caleb tries to bring the situation under control, he is brutally beaten up by Harry’s thugs. On the ITV soap next week, Caleb tries to make peace between Nate and Cain, and when Caleb offers a new business proposal, they both seem to be keen.
Viewers will remember Lydia was born as Jenny Finn but was placed into Hotten Grange children's home aged just five by her mum, who claimed at the time she was too ill to look after her. When she was just 15, Lydia gave birth to a stillborn boy with Craig in 1990, who she later called Toby, and she buried him in the woodland. Jenny later went missing and changed her name to Lydia.
