Emmerdale fans couldn’t hide their joy during Wednesday night’s edition of the ITV soap, as Paddy Kirk, played by Dominic Brunt finally found some comfort alongside his former flame Mandy Dingle, portrayed by soap icon Lisa Riley.
Despite the best attempts of Chas to get past her infidelity and reconcile with Paddy for the sake of their daughter, the duo have had no such luck in recent weeks, with Paddy determined to keep his estranged wife at arm’s length, even despite his clear battle with his mood. Seeing that he was clearly struggling, Mandy offered him a reassuring hug in the village before inviting him back to her home for a glass of wine and a heart to heart chat.
Yet as the mood swiftly grew more romantic, the pair gave in to temptation and rekindled their former romance in a long awaited moment of intimacy, with the episode ending with Mandy climbing on top of a laughing Paddy as the screen faded to a soft focus.
