Emmerdale fans were left horrified on Wednesday's visit to the dales, as vicar Charles Anderson admitted he had framed his father Victor for theft just hours before his death
Just one day after Emmerdale was hit with yet another tragedy as Victor Anderson was found dead in the church, his son Charles admitted he was partially responsible for the reformed criminal’s death.
Fearing the prospect of being in breach of his probation, Victor fled despite his innocence and later sought refuge in the church. Fans at home were horrified by the admission, although many viewers at home had predicted the turn of events given his behaviour over the past few weeks. Before a third viewer commented: "I thought Charles might've set Victor up with the necklace, but finding out for sure he did is like a deflated balloon with Victor dead. Pointless."
