'Customer response has been overwhelmingly positive with demand exceeding expectations,” the airline said of its new Premium Economy service coming to flySFO
Emirates said it will start offering its Premium Economy service on nonstops between San Francisco International Airport and Dubai, starting Feb. 15.
San Francisco is Emirates' second U.S. destination to get Premium Economy, after New York’s JFK airport on Dec. 1. The service expansion is part of a broader effort that also includes Emirates bringing Premium Economy on flights from Dubai to Melbourne, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; and Singapore.
“Since Emirates debuted its Premium Economy class to London, Paris and Sydney, customer response has been overwhelmingly positive with demand exceeding expectations,” the airline said. Emirates’ Premium Economy on the A380 is located at the front of the main deck, with only 56 seats set aside for that cabin. The newly configured Emirates A380 planes also include economy, business and first-class cabins.
