'Emily In Paris' Is Back, And We Need To Talk About Her Appalling Budget

She is living in the land of croissants, so I can't reeeally fault her for her food budget.

In typical Carrie Bradshaw fashion, Emily finds public transit to be the devil and opts for trekking around the city via taxi. Huh? I don't know about you, but my experience living in a major city quickly taught me that you can wrack up about a zillion dollars in credit card debt from ordering Ubers or cabs just a couple of times a week.

For most people in a big city, trains and buses become your very best friend.using the Metro, Paris's subway system, she decides to give it up altogether to spend $2,957 per year on transportation. This is assuming she travels around four miles from her apartment to work, five days a week. Like the nightlife budget, I think this number could easily rise if we're considering that she might take cabs for non-work travel in the evenings and weekends.
