The Snape Wood star celebrated with a cartwheel as she once again shone on the big stage
Great Britain's Emily Campbell during the Women's Weightlifting +81kg at South Paris Arena on the 16th day of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in France.
China's indomitable Li Wen Wen ran out victor and took home yet another Gold medal, having beaten Emily to Gold in 2021. The 24-year-old currently holds all the Olympic and World records in the weight class.The medals were decided over the course of six lifts - three snatches, where the bar is lifted straight up and over the head in one movement, and three clean and jerks, where the bar is lifted to the chest first, and then above the head until the buzzer sounds.

Thailand's Duangaksorn Chaidee has just lifted 152kg to take her total, including her snatch attempt, to 272kg. The 30-year-old has a host of silverware to her name - including, as we mentioned earlier, her four European Championship gold medals in a row.
She's opted to moved up to 119kg from 117kg for her first lift, as some of her opponents lifted 118kg for their later attempts.Emily still returns to Bulwell when she's not in competition. She gets her fruit and veg for free from Bulwell Market - and her shoes repaired at Foster's, the cobblers in Banks Yard.
"My body is there to do amazing things and that is lift really heavy weights," she tells the cameras, when talking about weightlifting.Emily Jade Campbell was born in Nottingham on May 6, 1994. She attended Snape Wood Primary & Nursery School on Aspen Road in Bulwell.
