Emily Atack ‘axed from Inbetweeners due to past relationship with co-star James Buckley’
‘They were deeply embarrassed and apologetic. They had to explain that James had asked she be taken off the show.’They added: ‘The kissing meant nothing to Emily and has never been an issue for her. She was very taken aback to be told she wasn’t needed, and genuinely gutted.’
While speaking on Richard Herring’s Leicester Square Theatre Podcast last night, Emilym didn’t mince her words on her co-star.she was asked about co-star Joe Thomas, who played Simon, saying he couldn’t possibly be behind the reason she was cut. ‘[The host] then bought up James Buckley, and Emily hesitated and then shouted out “James F***ley!” which got a huge laugh from the audience,’ they told the website.
‘Emily then said that there was a “lot of snobbery” and then said she didn’t want to say anything else.’
