UPDATE: Reports suggesting there has tragically been a fatality in Co Donegal this afternoon
Irish police have declared a ‘serious incident’ in Co Donegal amid reports that a man has died following an explosion.
The area has been evacuated as emergency services attend the scene and several local roads have been closed with diversions in place.An Garda Siochana along with the National Ambulance Service and Donegal Fire Brigade are also in attendance, while the Health and Safety Authority have been notified.Gardai say they are not in a position to confirm any casualties at this time and no further information is currently available.
“An Garda Síochána has evacuated the surrounding area and the Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal has been requested.“The Health and Safety Authority have been notified.
