Purported plans by the Indian government to force power plants to maximise output amid an anticipated electricity crunch spells good news for South African coal miners.
Reuters on Monday reported that the Indian government plans to use an emergency law next month to force power plants that run on imported coal to maximise output in preparation for expected record consumption this summer.
