The Anchorage Assembly discussed money for homeless shelters, emergency shelters, and a proposed extension for the former Solid Waste Services administrative building to be used as a shelter at Tuesday's regular meeting.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Money for homeless shelters , emergency shelters, and a proposed extension for the former Solid Waste Services administrative building to be, a resolution to buy and install food waste dehydration equipment for Anchorage’s landfill in Eagle River, and the introduction of an ordinance clarifying towing and impoundment rules in the city.

The public hearing portion of the meeting is scheduled to discuss millions of dollars for contracts and municipal equipment purchases. A memorandum is also on the agenda, including liquor license renewals for a restaurant, liquor store, and convenience store, as well as a memorandum to cap spending at $180,000 for the Home and Landowners Organization to provide Hillside Fire Prevention for the city and fire department.
