This news article encourages readers to embrace their imperfections and insecurities. It emphasizes the importance of honesty, self-compassion, and understanding others' decisions. The piece suggests that being authentic, less judgmental, and focusing on facts over intuition can lead to greater well-being and stronger relationships.

, respectively) could amplify your fear of not being “enough.” Everywhere you look, it seems like others are happier and more accomplished, like you’re the only one who experiences confusion or self-doubt.

Really, though, nobody has things all figured out, and by being honest about your struggles and uncertainties, you’ll find that you’re not alone and everything will get easier to navigate. You might feel a lot of pressure — probably self-imposed — to come across as perfect today. You want others to see you as a leader, somebody they can look up to — but you worry that if they could see your real self, with all your flaws and insecurities, they’d lose all faith in you. Really, though, people tend to respond better to honest reflection than self-important posturing. Being honest about your feelings — even those you aren’t proud of — will serve you better than putting on an impressive show. In your experience, it isn’t always the best idea to trust your intuition. It’s all too easy to badly misread a situation or be led astray by wishful thinking; it’s much harder to go wrong when you stay focused on the facts. But if you ignore your instincts for too long, it starts to damage your trust in yourself; you might end up making choices the world would see as the “right” ones but that aren’t right forThe best thing you can do today — both for those around you and for your own well-being — is to be less judgmental of other people’s decisions. Chances are they’re dealing with circumstances you aren’t aware of, working within a set of constraints that would make it virtually impossible for anyone to make truly “good” choices. You don’t need to let people off the hook if their decisions genuinely harm others, but otherwise, giving them a little grace will help you be more compassionate toward yourself too. Sometimes, you worry that your empathy holds you back, making you so focused on caring for others that you never have any time to devote to your own goals. You wonder whether it’s a mistake to be as generous as you are, whether a bit of selfishness might be helpful. But today, try to remember that caring about others is always a good thing. Don’t neglect your own needs completely, of course, but trust that caring for others will help, not hinder you, on your own path. You occasionally get the sense that you’re missing out on important information, and that without it, you’ll never fully understand the world around you. Today, especially, you might convince yourself that others will always be wiser and more experienced than you and that there’s nothing you can do about it. Really, though, nobody was born knowing everything — all you can do is stay curious and open-minded. Don’t expect yourself to understand everything from the get-go; it’s enough just to stay committed to learning along the way. It can be strangely comforting to imagine that you’re powerless, that you have no control over the course of your life. It’s not that youto be helpless, exactly, but when you imagine that you have no say in anything, it lets you off the hook; you don’t even have to try. Today, acknowledge what power youhave; you don’t need to swing all the way in the opposite direction, imagining that you can bend the entire universe to your will — just be honest with yourself. In general, you invest a lot of effort into your relationships. In part, this is because you know that these connections are deeply important to you. But it’s also possible that you work so hard on your relationships because you’re afraid of what the alternative would look like; you don’t trust that your friends would still love you if you weren’t constantly trying to be caring, attentive, and useful. Today, see what happens if you stop working so hard: The people in your life, at least the ones who truly matter, will probably continue to love you just as much as ever. Interruptions to your routines are more or less inevitable today — and it’ll be easy for you to imagine that any disruptions are somehow your fault. You might tell yourself that it signals a failure to adequately plan or to account for all possibilities. But really, surprises would come up anyway, no matter how carefully and thoroughly you planned. Your job right now isn’t to beat yourself up for not having foreseen every remote possibility, but to roll with whatever happens. You’re good at thinking on your feet, you might just need a reminder of it. When your confidence doesn’t pan out, and things turn out worse than you predicted, it’s easy to tell yourself that you were foolish to be so hopeful, that you should’ve expected the worst. But today, try to see your optimism as a good thing. Endlessly fixating on all that could go wrong is demotivating; it makes it harder to believe that a better world is possible. Don’t get so caught up in wishful thinking that you miss the obvious red flags, but don’t be so pessimistic that you lose your sense of possibility, either. Today you might struggle with a feeling of aimlessness; it seems like nothing you do matters much, like any action you might take is too minor to make a real difference. But right now, instead of searching for ways to make an impact, to increase your presence in the world, focus on small actions. Trying to dois unlikely to feel rewarding, but taking small steps with thoughtfulness and consistency could bring you the sense of purpose you’ve been missing. It might be easy, lately, to fixate on all the ways your life might have turned out if your luck had been different, on all the waysmight have been different if you’d made alternative choices. Part of you can’t help but think that these other versions of your life would have all been better than the life you ended up with. But try not to get so caught up in fantasy that you lose sight of all you have to be grateful for. And if you’re truly unhappy with what you have now, remember that it’s not too late to change it. It can be deeply discouraging to have to admit that there are some things you can’t do, no matter how hard you try. There are some goals that are too much to take on, some relationships too damaged to ever truly recover. Today, though, it might be surprisingly freeing to admit your own limits. Being honest with yourself about what’s too much for you will leave you with more energy to take on the challenges that are actually feasible, to focus on the areas where you might see the greatest results.Golden Globes Red Carpet: All the Dresses and LooksEvery Moment We Obsessed Over from 2026 Golden Globes Awards & Red Carpet The moments and looks we obsessed over on Sunday night: Teyana Taylor’s speech, Nikki Glaser’s best jokes and gowns,A Definitive Ranking of Brooches From the Golden Globes Red CarpetYour Weekly Horoscopes by Madame Clairevoyant: January 11–17 Moving through Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn this week, the moon helps you clarify your priorities and let go of expectations.Anok Yai Underwent a ‘Life-Saving’ Procedure After Developing SepsisBecca Good said that her wife, who was killed by an ICE officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday, was “made of sunshine.”Wait, Bad Bunny Got Sued for Using Someone’s Voice Again?
