KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Gifts and Premium Association (MGPA) has launched the 13th Malaysia Gifts Fair, one of the largest gifts and premium fairs in ASEAN.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Domestic Trade and Costs of Living Minister, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, who was accompanied by MGPA president, Peh Leong Seng, and MGF 2023 organising chairman, Albert Choong, exhibitors and supporting partners.

A total of 131 companies from Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, India and the United Kingdom are participating in the event which is endorsed by MATRADE. Choong shared that the fair serves as a reminder that the act of giving gifts transcends mere material possessions, placing emphasis on the profound emotions and enduring memories that ensue.

All proceeds from these workshops will be used to raise funds for underprivileged children. MGPA firmly believes that education and nourishment are the greatest gifts that can be provided to the next generation. Peh emphasised the vital role of the gift industry in promoting the Made-in-Malaysia brand, supporting local artisans and manufacturers, and showcasing Malaysia’s cultural heritage and craftsmanship through meaningful gifts.
