Elon Musk reveals Tesla's plan to mass-produce Optimus robots for $20,000 each, potentially generating trillions in profit.
Musk believes Optimus robots, which may go on sale as early as next year, could make Tesla a $25 trillion company.
To put that into perspective, the most valuable global firms are worth approximately $3 trillion each. Musk anticipates the manufacturing cost of Optimus robots to be roughly $10,000 per unit, with a selling price of $20,000, resulting in a profit of $1 trillion. During the shareholder meeting, Musk also expressed his belief that Optimus’s software will be fully customizable by 2026.
