During his monologue, the controversial Tesla CEO and SpaceX leader said, “It’s an honor to be hosting Saturday Night Live,” said Musk, adding that he means it. “Sometimes after I say something, I have to say, “I mean that.” Must went on to talk about how he believes in a “renewable energy future” and that humanity can be multi-planetary. He also made fun of himself, joking that sometimes people are reduced to “the dumbest thing” they ever did, giving the example of the time he smoked weed on Joe Rogan’s podcast. “It’s like reducing O.J. Simpson to ‘murderer,’ said Musk. “It was one time.”
