Author Ben Mezrich details incidents like being booed at a Dave Chappelle show and a security scare involving his son, which contributed to Musk's distress and reportedly led to him locking himself in his office.

He also changed the service’s verification process, as well as content-moderation rules. By the summer, advertising the company’s main source of revenue, was down in the United States by almost 60%.
