Attorneys for Elon Musk have filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging violations of federal racketeering and antitrust laws. The suit seeks to stop OpenAI from becoming a fully for-profit entity and from restraining investors from financing competitors including xAI.

The attorneys wrote that the terms OpenAI asked investors to agree to amounted to a"group boycott" that"blocks xAI's access to essential investment capital."
