Legendary quarterbacks (and brothers) Eli and Peyton Manning have teamed up to launch a $200 million bourbon
expressed their satisfaction about not having to market something of a lower-quality standard . Sweetens Cove will be released across five different batches, aligning different flavor profiles, created by Eaves, for a total of 14,000 bottles.
In awith The Whiskey Wash, Eaves gives a hint of what some of them taste like: “One of the batches really jumped out because it had a strong caramel and vanilla aroma and lingering sweetness. Another had the warm cooperage of oak with sweet and spicy and lasting smoke finish. In the end, there are five different personalities and characteristics. I love them each, for a different reason and appeal.” However, Eaves also revealed that she found four barrels that were so tasty that she insisted on having them released separately, which may happen later in the year. In any case, early reviews of the first Sweetens Cove batch have been positive so far and with such well-known names behind a quality product, it’s hard to imagine that the new bourbon won’t sell well. However, as a whiskey fan, I also may be mildly distressed of the thought of a delicious $200 bourbon designed for slow considered sipping taken as a quick shot before a round of golf.
