A Deltona Elementary School teacher had been accused of inappropriately messaging a 14-year-old student on an online dating app.
The Hernando County Sheriff's Office received a report on Monday from the Hernando County School District regarding a young student who had shared inappropriate conversations with Michael Ronald Iannaccone ,47.
Deputies stated that the conversations between the student and Iannaccone involved him explaining the sexual acts he would like to teach the student. Detectives confirmed that Iannaccone was aware that the student was underage throughout the conversations. The following day, deputies stated that they continued conversing online with the teacher, using the student’s account, during which Iannaccone discussed various sexual acts with the juvenile, even during his teaching shift.Upon being read his Miranda rights, Iannaccone admitted to using the online dating app to knowingly communicate with the juvenile about performing sexual acts.
Iannaccone has been accused of transmitting material harmful to a minor by electronic device or equipment and unlawfully using a two-way communication device. He is currently being held at the Hernando County Detention Center on a $4,500 bond.
