Will the 864 missed postal votes change the face of North Lincolnshire elections?

Ivan Morris Poxton

Percy, MP for Brigg and Goole, made these allegations in a late-May letter to the Electoral Commission's chief executive. He criticised the delayed disclosure of the missed votes for the North Lincolnshire Council elections, labelling the delay as"insulting to all candidates and my residents." According to McNally, if the officer fails to meet the standards, the Commission will aid the officer and their team to review and improve their processes. The Commission's post-election report will be published in September.

Acknowledging the situation publicly, Thorpe admitted to a"genuine mistake" and pledged to rectify the subpar standards. He extended an apology for the incident and promised residents of Broughton and Scawby that their votes should count as intended.
