The groups are asking for polls to be opened past 8 p.m. after a series of technical issues at various polling locations on Tuesday led to a number of voters reportedly being turned away.
The League of Women Voters also tweeted,"Operational & technical issues this morning at polling locations around the state made voters leave without casting a ballot. We are seeking an extension of polling hours so voters have an opportunity to return and vote." According to that survey, McAuliffe led Youngkin 80 to 13 percent among those concerned about healthcare but trailed by 13 points for those most concerned about the economy.reported that Youngkin's campaign has asserted Virginia's economy is"in the ditch" while 56 percent of voters disagree with him.Virginia is set to surpass the gubernatorial record set in 2017 of votes cast during the final hours of Election Day.
