A 63 percent majority of Black Democrats say President Biden should continue his campaign for president in a Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll, far higher than the 42 percent of Democrats overall who say the same and the highest share of any demographic subset of Democrats in the survey.
In a separate question, 34 percent of Black Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents volunteered Harris as their preferred replacement if Biden steps aside, while 3 percent or fewer named any other single candidate. That is similar to all Democratic leaners, among whom 29 percent named Harris.
