Here's how it looks in terms of candidates for the area
The local council elections for Northern Ireland are just days away and we have the full list of confirmed candidates for each area.They will be vying to fill the 41 seats spread across seven district electoral areas.At the last election in 2019 the UUP recorded their highest vote share for any area so the party will be hoping to maintain and build on that.
Unionist councillors are in the overall majority and that is reflected in the DUP's position as the largest party on council in the last term with 11 seats and the UUP's 10.
