ALOR GAJAH: A 70-year-old woman was killed after the motorcycle she was riding pillion rammed into a macaque at Jalan Lubok China here.
Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Arshad Abu said that the victim has been identified as Mesah Puteh, adding that she succumbed to her injuries at the Alor Gajah Hospital here at about 2pm on Sunday .
"Her husband Jais Hussin, 76, who was riding the machine, sustained minor injuries after colliding with the monkey," he said on Monday .The incident, he added, happened on Sunday morning when the macaque crossed the road all of a sudden before Jais lost control of the motorcycle after hitting the monkey.
