An elderly couple escaped from their burning home in Sydney with just two photo albums and their mobile phone. 9News
Firefighters battled the blaze as smoke billowed across the city's inner west, but the house couldn't be saved.Stefani Gorgioski said her parents had lived at the house for more than 40 years.
"He grabbed the first things he could which was his phone and two photo albums and ran out," Gorgioski said.During the fire, neighbouring houses were quickly evacuated.Four fire trucks and one aerial appliance were deployed to the emergency, Fire and Rescue NSW said.
