In a major victory for the Trump administration, El Salvador has agreed to accept the return of Salvadoran MS-13 gang members and other violent illegal immigrants from the United States. This agreement, reached during a meeting between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Nayib Bukele, comes amid escalating conflict over Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro's refusal to accept Venezuelan citizens the U.S. wishes to send back. El Salvador will also accept and incarcerate members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang and other criminal illegal migrants from any country.
