El icónico Festival Oceánico de San Clemente volverá con fuerza este verano, según informan los organizadores, después de un evento de escala reducida el año pasado y varias cancelaciones en los últimos años.
Las raíces del evento se remontan a 1977, cuando Sheridan Byerly, capitán del departamento de Seguridad Marina, quería aumentar la participación en la competencia de salvavidas de los Juegos de Playa del Condado de Orange. La competencia atrajo a competidores de toda la región, pero los organizadores también querían incluir al público en general, con la esperanza de involucrar a los salvavidas y a las familias en actividades en la playa.
