Some customers are complaining that a $3,000 temperature-controlled mattress that's praised by Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg is prone to leaks

The company's"Pod 2" mattress typically retails for about $2,995, while its newer"Pod 3" model is listed on its site for $3,395.

These mattresses are designed to help calibrate sleep through features that"dynamically heat and cool" the bed, as well as offering a"thermal alarm" that can help wake up the user, according to the company's website. Each mattress comprises multiple layers, and its temperature control comes from"hydropowered technology," it says online. A device called the"Hub" is placed next to the bed and supplies water to help regulate the temperature. A representative for Eight Sleep did not confirm that this is the cause of the leaks.
