Eight new bars got their liquor licenses today, including two in downtown Salt Lake City’s Post District: Sunday School and Melancholy.

At the monthly meeting of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services’ liquor commission, two ready-to-operate bars were granted licenses: The Manor F&B resort in Coalville, andAfter applying for a license for a few months, Manor F&B was given what’s called a bar “equity” license, which applies to members-only establishments and allows for alcoholic beverages to be served at up to five “dispensing areas,” said DABS spokesperson Michelle Schmitt.
