Typhoon Egay (international name: Doksuri) left the country’s area of responsibility at 8 a.m., Thursday, July 27, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). READ:
Egay was last seen 255 kilometers west of Itbayat, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 185 kph.
Tropical cyclone wind signal No. 2 remained in effect over Batanes, the northwestern portion of Cagayan, including Babuyan Islands, and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte. PAGASA also warned that heavy rains may continue to affect Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.
