President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. turned over P5 million in financial assistance to typhoon Egay-hit Kalinga province through Gov. James Edduba during a visit to Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on Saturday, July 29.

Edduba said the money will be used to address the immediate needs of affected families in the province. He told the President that Kalinga had no casualties from Egay but the province sustained damage to property and agriculture.Three houses in Lubuagan were totally damaged houses and 104 were partially damaged in different municipalities. Two schools from Tinglayan and Tanudan were partially damaged.
