According to Benguet Long District Rep. Eric Yap, a landslide that covered a house caused the deaths of the four individuals which included children aged four and two.

Yap said they also could not contact other areas as 60% of the area did not have electricity. He adds that many also do not have water supply. Meanwhile, Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Manotoc told CNN Philippines' News Night that his province recorded two deaths though these are not included in the NDRRMC's tally.
