The SA Human Rights Commission is adamant that “it’s clear even to a child” that EFF leader Julius Malema committed hate speech during his address to supporters last month, saying killing is licensed.

This was the sentiment expressed by the chairperson of the SA Human Rights Commission advocate Bongani Majola, as he dismissed claims by the EFF that the commission took Malema’s utterances out of context when it found on Wednesday that he had incited violence during his address last month. Speaking to News24, Majola said: “You, yourself, have seen the video in question just as we [the commission] have also seen the video.
