EFF leader Julius Malema has asked his party deputy mayors in KwaZulu-Natal to resign from office with immediate effect. ECRNewsWatch EFF
This as the party has cut its coalition ties with the IFP in KZN and Gauteng.
This means that the IFP may stand to lose up to 13 of its municipalities where it governs through EFF votes after the local government elections in 2021.Malema was speaking at the party's annual plenum to plan for the political year on Friday. "We thought that apartheid collaborator has changed its spot but it has come very clear that apartheid collaborator IFP is not ready to change. The IFP must not get anything everywhere where we are involved. Be Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, Mohale City. Anywhere you see the ugly head of the IFP, put it aside."
