Speculation had been rife that the Eels captain could be on the move at the end of the season. Jason Ryles has put that to bed.
Incoming Parramatta Eels coach Jason Ryles has quashed uncertainty around skipper Clint Gutherson’s future, informing the fullback’s agent that he is vital to his plans.
Ryles, however, put the speculation to bed in a meeting with Gutherson’s long-time agent Sam Ayoub at a Concord cafe on Tuesday morning. “There’s a fair bit of scuttle around as to whether or not he moves from Parramatta,” Gould said on Wide World of Sports’“There’s a lot happening in the market ... there’s plenty of scuttle. I’m not even saying it’s true.
