NSTspors Ee Yi-Yew Sin thought their badminton career was over when they were dropped from the national team by the BA of Malaysia three weeks before their success in Bangkok.
The Malaysian duo are now genuine contenders for an Olympic spot after winning the Thailand Masters in January.
Their achievement at the Thailand Masters, however, earned them a spot in the national team for the Asia Team Championships in Manila last month. Ee Yi-Yew Sin are now determined to make an impression at the All England, which starts on Wednesday in Birmingham.“Obviously, we are worried about the Covid-19 outbreak. We will be careful in Birmingham,” said the 27-year-old Ee Yi yesterday.
“Our win at the Thailand Masters has given us the confidence, and since then, we have been performing well.
