Edwins Leadership and Restaurant Institute is holding a special dinner featuring nationally known chef David Waltuck. It’s part of a 10-year celebration for the Shaker Square restaurant.
Edwins founder Brandon Chrostowski previously worked at the famed Manhattan restaurant. Chanterelle, a game-changing fine-dining restaurant, was open from 1979 to 2009.
Edwins hires and trains recently released incarcerated individuals for work at the Shaker Square French restaurant as well as a diner and butcher shop. Its Second Chance Life Skills Center offers a foundation for its workers, from day care to other services.His time at Chanterelle provided a needed base for all things culinary. Chrostowski wanted to learn, and the Waltucks gave him the opportunity.
