With a decade of experience on the school board, and after serving as President of the California School Boards Association, Albert Gonzalez is the best choice for Santa Clara’s Northside residents.
During his time with Santa Clara Unified School District, Gonzalez has shown himself to be a fiscally responsible leader, saving taxpayers nearly $27 million by refinancing bonds this year. As the City of Santa Clara faces a multi-million dollar budget deficit, Gonzalez has proven he will put taxpayers first, improve core city services, and be a financially judicious councilmember.
During his tenure on the Santa Clara School Board, students in Santa Clara outperformed state averages in all academic categories, showing that Gonzalez’ efforts were effective and meaningful for students. His colleagues on school boards across the state recognized Gonzalez’s record of service on behalf of Santa Clara’s students, and voted to appoint him as the President of the California School Board Association, which represents over 1,000 California school districts.
