Orchestra at Alderwood Middle School, serving over 80 7th-grade string students. Jazz Band at Meadowdale, Alderwood, and Brier Terrace Middle Schools. Jazz Band 2 at Edmonds-Woodway and Mountlake Terrace High Schools.The school district has already voted on next year's budget, and it does not include these music classes, because they don't have funding for it," Deb Brandi from the Foundation for Edmonds School District said. "These additional funds would be a budget amendment to increase their budget by this dollar amount to allow for these classes to be funded. According to the foundation, around 300 students will now be able to continue participating in their music programs. The Foundation is now assessing whether it can save additional classes, including choir, at one or two schools.
