There is overwhelming scientific evidence that shows the vaccines are effective in protecting against the most dire complications associated with the deadly virus. But with so much inaccurate information and anti-vaxxer conspiracy theories spreading widely and quickly, it is critical to emphasise the importance of taking the jab, especially now.

Our Constitution enshrines the right to choose. Those opposed to taking the vaccine should be allowed to exercise their right to refuse. But, as with smokers, this comes with consequences. They cannot force others to bend to their will and be allowed to spread unverified information about the Covid-19 vaccine to suit their narrative.
