Hollywood is paying tribute to DianaRigg, who died on Thursday at the age of 82
on Thursday at the age of 82. The Emmy-, BAFTA-, and Tony award-winning actress began her career on the stage, joining the Royal Shakespeare Company in the late 1950s just two years after making her stage debut — and a decade before crossing the pond to appear in her first Broadway production.
In the intervening years, Rigg would also launch her decades-long film and TV career, appearing in a series of British and American television projects beginning in the '60s. Starring in countless projects, the actress is well-known for her roles as the biting Olenna Tyrell in HBO's hit fantasy adaptation, and as Countess Teresa di Vicenzo opposite George Lazenby's James Bond in 1969'sAs Vicenzo, Rigg would cement herself in Bond history as the only woman to marry the famed British Secret Intelligence Service agent.director Edgar Wright spoke about the experience of working with Rigg on her last film, the psychological horror."What to say about Diana Rigg?
