SEREMBAN: Former Kuala Pilah MP Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith says his removal as Negri Sembilan Perikatan Nasional chief was a routine political matter and he remains focussed on the coming state election.
"This is normal and a non-issue. My focus is to help prepare the party machinery for the state election which will be held soon," he said when contacted on Friday .Eddin said he accepted the decision with an open heart and would continue to do his best for the party."I hope Bersatu members will not take this the wrong way," he said, adding that he was still a Bersatu member who would do his best for the party.
It was reported on Thursday that Eddin Syazlee had been dropped as state Perikatan chief and replaced by Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.In GE14, Eddin Syazlee contested the Kuala Pilah parliamentary seat under the Pakatan Harapan banner when his party was still part of the coalition, and won with a razor-thin 200-vote majority.
However, he failed to defend the seat in GE15, losing to Barisan Nasional's Datuk Adnan Abu Hassan, who won with a majority of 6,483 votes in a five-cornered fight.to our Premium Plan for an ad-free and unlimited reading experience!
