Bucaram padre fue presidente por unos meses de Ecuador entre agosto de 1996 y febrero de 1997
La policía de Ecuador detuvo el viernes a un hijo del expresidente Abdalá Bucaram y a un presunto líder criminal, junto a 150 personas más, por una investigación relacionada con el narcotráfico, durante una fiesta en una finca en las afueras de Guayaquil, una de las ciudades más peligrosas del país.
Añadió que hay personas con antecedentes penales y con presuntos vínculos con el narcotráfico. , cuando fue destituido por el Congreso, que lo acusó de incapacidad mental para gobernar. El exmandatario, en su cuenta de X, aseveró que su hijo Jacobo Bucaram Pulley estaba invitado a una fiesta en una finca, había orquesta y un cantante internacional.
