At least 11 people have died and 13 were confirmed missing in with wildfires burning in Los Angeles County, officials said.

At least 11 people have died and 13 were confirmed missing in the wildfires burning in Los Angeles County, Sheriff Robert Luna said at a Saturday morning news conference, as fires threaten new communities in the area,

AIR7 news helicopter with our sister station, ABC7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles spotted a structure burning in the Mandeville Canyon just after 11 a.m. local time. Previously, those areas were under an evacuation warning, which means residents are urged to be prepared to evacuate if necessary. "They had no business being there," Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna told reporters on Saturday about the people arrested. Those arrested include two people who were arrested and booked for curfew violations. Most of the arrests were for burglary, looting and possession of narcotics. Many in the area have watched their homes burn on television in a state of shock.

"It's OK. It's OK," Berg said as much to herself as others as she took stock of the destruction, remembering the deck and pool from which her family watched fireworks. "It's not like we just lost our house - everybody lost their house." The disaster took homes from everyone - from waiters to movie stars. The government has not yet released figures on the cost of the damage, but private firms have estimated it will climb into the tens of billions. The Walt Disney Co. announced Friday it will donate $15 million to respond to the fires and help rebuild.

"We just had just had Christmas morning right over here, right in front of that chimney. And this is what's left," he said, pointing to the blackened rubble that was once his living room. "It's those small family heirlooms that are the ones that really hurt the most."
